A brief about the first seminar

A debate within the activities of the Saudi Electricity Company’s Scientific Chair for Demand Side Management and Energy Efficiency has been organized under the heading “Demand Side management and its impacts on the consumer and society” and that was exactly at 9:00 o’clock on Wednesday morning 21 Jumada I, 1431H corresponding May 5, 2010 at Continental Hotel in Jeddah. This symposium aimed to provide an opportunity for experts and those responsible for electricity in Saudi Arabia for the meeting among themselves to exchange experiences, opinions and discuss topics related to management of demand for DSM and Energy Efficiency, methods and techniques that can be followed to achieve that with a review of some scientific experiments and the national programs in this area; the National Authority for Management and Rationalization of Energy has participated in this debate where invitations were extended to academics from KAU and engineers from the Saudi Electricity Company and a group of business and industry men.
